Looking at the diversity of music videos and how they convey relevant themes of the track, i came across this music video that was produced in my hometown - Salisbury. What i love most about this video is the editing and the way it compliments the song. I feel the flash of colour at the drop in the track adds youthful energy as young adults party. Furthermore the flash of colour signifies the shift in the song and the crowd as the track speeds up. In addition the consistent black and white shots compliment the tone of the song, which is important in addressing the theme appropriately to an audience. With the combination of close ups and long shots, a positive vibe is created with people enjoying the music and having a good time.
From this research i have gained an insight in the different ways in which images and sound work together to form a media product that connects to an audience. Though this video was a low budget and local production i feel it advertises the band effectively by creating a positive association and reflects the work of main stream artists - for example Swedish House Mafias video for 'Don't Worry Child'.
